Kelowna Red Bull Sugga Shoot

After a rad weekend riding Silver Star with Dustin Greenall, Tyler Morrison, Sydney Desmarias and her very cute lady friend, Kenzie. Dustin and I headed back to Kelowna for a little Red Bull shoot.
We had been planning to do this shoot since the Goat Style Bike Festival a few weeks ago. Dave Jones from Red Bull came down to Kelowna for a couple days with the Sugga to shoot. The Red Bull Sugga for those of you who haven’t seen or heard of the beauty, is a '57 Volvo Body with enough money invested into it to make your house look bad. Three HD TV’s pop out of the roof and a full on DJ set up unfolds. Oh and I can’t forget to mention the winch on the back to pull us into whatever we could think of.

Anyhow, enough bragging about Red Bull’s new truck; now back to Dustin and I. We hit the beach for a few hours waiting for the heat to simmer down a notch so we would be able to start building a ramp for what ever. Our good friend from Victoria Mark Matthews had just competed in the 2009 NSMB Air Apprentice and didn’t quite feel like going home just yet, so he stayed with us for a few days to lend a hand.
Dave, Mark, Dustin and myself made our first and last trip to Home Depot for building supplies. After a while figuring out the perfect dimensions for a wood kicker, we got too tired and decided to finish the task the next day. We started building early in the morning and finished around noon. You can’t just build a ramp and not name or paint it.
We call it “The Dark Secret”
We took “The Dark Secret” to our local jump area called “The Spot”.
Here are shots from our sunset shoot with The Red Bull Sugga:
Thanks to Dave at Red Bull Canada for making this project happen! Also to Stirling Grassick for the EPIC photos.

Ya i saw the truck here in Calgary for the Red bull X fighters... cool stuff. Maybe Red bull can host a event in the Interior someday, if it is anything like the MX event I saw it should be off the hook! Rampage BC?
